I’m all recovered from my operation now and I went to see my new flat the other day. It’s absolutely stunning.

It’s in Caerphilly and it has really good views of the whole of Caerphilly.  It’s a few minutes walk from the bus stop and train station and you can walk into Caerphilly to the shops.

I’ll have my own front door!  There’s a kitchen and living room combined – it’s massive, and a bedroom and wet room.  I love it

There will be staff on site 24 hours a day at first for the first few weeks until everyone is settled in, and then they’ll just be there during the daytime.  I know most of the other people who are moving in and there’s a communal area on the third floor with a communal lounge for us all to get together.  The ground floor is reserved for people who use wheelchairs.

It’s a shame that the moving in date has been pushed back to July.  I do feel a bit anxious about moving in and I know my mum is a bit anxious too!

In other news, I’ve just spoken to Jess at All Wales and sorted out my talent for the talent contest at AdFest. I’m performing with the House of Deviant at AdFest and I’ll be meeting my new boyfriend face to face for the first time. 

House of Deviant did a Eurovision drag show at the Wales Millennium Centre last Saturday – there was a great turnout and it was very funny.

I’ve got a new volunteering role at the old Caerphilly Miners’ Hospital – it’s now been turned into a community centre and I’ll be volunteering in the café.  I was born there when it was a hospital so that seems quite weird!
