I’m stuck in Vienna!  A big family group of us came away last week to visit the Christmas markets and we can’t get home at the moment because of the weather. It’s snowing here and it’s snowing in London, so the plane was cancelled yesterday.  They’ve cancelled it again today and now we hope to get home tomorrow.

We’ve had a great time but I’m keen to get home as I’ve got my Christmas meal with work this week.

The Through our Eyes Launch was amazing – I’m so glad I went in the end.  I didn’t want to go to it – there was a huge picture of me at the exhibition and I was feeling a bit insecure and lacking in confidence and I didn’t want to see myself in a massive picture.  I’m so glad I did go though – it’s such a positive portrayal of people with a learning disability and I got some great feedback.

I got to meet the First Minister and Natasha, the Project Manager asked me to write an article for an online or print newspaper.  I’m taking my mum to see the exhibition during the Christmas break.

Work at Caerphilly People First has been busy and we’ve been doing Christmas crafts. I’m keen to get back home and join in now as I’m missing out.

The cost of living crisis isn’t really having much effect on me thank goodness. I live with family, so I haven’t really noticed it as much as other people might do.

That picture of you was beautiful. Keep smiling and hope to see you in Ceredigion with your courses in the New Year for OVOC. NADOLIG LLAWEN xx
