Last time we spoke, I’d just been performing in a Drag Show in Newport. I’ve just done another one! We did Dragma’s Totally Bonkers Bingo in April, and it was great fun and really successful.
In fact, I can’t come to AdFest this year because I’m practising for another drag event which is part of the Unity Festival ‘Drag Syndrome’ at the Wales Millennium Centre. It’s too close to the AdFest date for me to attend as I need to rehearse. I really enjoy performing drag and I think I might be a Drag King next time, rather than the traditional Drag Queen.
I’ve been with my boyfriend since last Autumn and we’re still together. We see each other at work but we also socialise in the evenings too. We met up this week for bowling and Nando’s with the guys from the Insight App – it was an event to mark Mental Health Awareness Week. I still do a lot of work with Insight’s Peer Led Team. I rely a lot on my mum for transport for social events.
I’ve been to Tenby recently and I met up with a friend and we caught the boat to Caldey Island – it was a bit rough on the outward crossing, but calmer coming back thank goodness.
I voted in the local elections last week. I think I mentioned before that I’m going to be living independently soon – we’re waiting for the flats to be built. The builders have got the planning permission now. I’ve started buying bits and bobs for when I get my own place – like a toaster and things like that.
