It is 10 years since the scandal of abuse that took place at Winterbourne View – abuse that was only uncovered thanks to whistleblowing and an investigation by BBC Panorama.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Winterbourne View the Learning Disability Consortium are calling on Welsh Government to provide guarantees that there are “No Winterbournes in Wales”. On Tuesday 1st June the Learning Disability Consortium will publish a call to action highlighting six ways Welsh Government can ensure that people with learning disabilities living in accommodation are safe and protected from abuse.
