I attended the AWPF AGM and Strategy Day last month – I enjoyed it and we had the chance to have our say.
The performance at the Eisteddfod back in August went well, after some confusion at first (security wouldn’t let us onto the stage!). We did another performance of Ffabinogion in Pontio Theatre in Bangor too, before coming home. In fact, we’re getting busy now, rehearsing for the Christmas season and we’re doing a comedy Séance show next week in the Wales Millennium Centre.
The House of Deviant went on a tour around the BBC studios recently – that was very interesting and we got to see behind the scenes. We didn’t see anyone famous, but I did bump into Dafydd Iwan when I was at the Welsh Music Awards with Gig Buddies. He was such a nice man.
I’m still working and I’m still volunteering with Innovate Trust as a Peer Led Mentor. We run sessions such as laughter yoga and peer mentors are there to support other people attending, chat to them and make them feel comfortable.
Thinking about the All-Wales Strategy and the fortieth anniversary, I went to see ‘Housemates’ at the theatre, which was the story of the start of community living. It was good but quite sad in parts. I think my life would have been very different without the All-Wales Strategy.
I’m off on another cruise in December – to Amsterdam and le Havre. We’ll do the Christmas markets too.
