Hi all. No Katy today. Just me ha ha!

I’ve been really busy with drama and dance since we last chatted. I’m off to Holland with the Dragon’s group in May so that’s exciting. We’re taking two performance pieces with us. They’re called Black Kisses and T4. I know them quite well because we performed them during our London trip last year.

The Holland trip is all inclusive for food, so we just need to think about spending money, which is good. Katie and me will be sharing a room.

I enjoyed my Birthday even though it snowed! The snow meant that we couldn’t go to Agility group as it was cancelled. Instead, we went out for a nice meal and visited another friend afterwards.

I did well for presents this year, really pleased. I went on a shopping spree a few days before my Birthday. I was a bit spoilt with no big restrictions on how much I could spend. Everyone says that I look like a teddy bear in my lovely new coat.

We went bowling afterwards and I won a game!

When I went to the Ponty Friends group, I had quite a few Birthday drinks bought for me. I had to ask for a water as my head was spinning after a few Vodka and Cokes. It’s ok though, it was my Birthday after all.

I’ve got to say that I don’t feel affected too much by the cost of living increase. Maybe it’s because I still live at home and I’m not responsible for bills. I did give up one of my groups to save a few pounds a week, but it’s such a good group I miss it. I’m going to surprise my friends by going back to the group on Monday!

It’s not worth saving the £2 session fee because I find going out and being with people keeps my mental health and wellbeing good. I know that being away from friends has a bad effect on me because I had some bad times during Covid.

I’ve had a cold this week but I’m starting to feel a bit better now. It hasn’t stopped me being active and getting out though. I’ve just taken some cough medicine to help my throat.

If I feel unwell I just listen to my body and take it easy when I need to. Sometimes I just sit and do some diamond art and If I’m really tired I chill and watch telly.
