I’m at Costa having a cool drink – it’s lovely and sunny here in north Wales today. I’ve got my laptop with me and I’m applying for a job– you have to send your CV and covering letter by email, but I’m going to send it by post too, to make sure it gets there.
I went to the Learning Disability Ministerial Advisory Group (LDMAG) again this week in Cardiff. It was a lot to take in. The other reps from around Wales were there too and it was good to catch up. I raised the issue of public transport in our area of north Wales which is still very poor.
Group members paid tribute to Hefin David, the MS who sadly died recently.
LDMAG starts at 9 and goes on until around 4pm. Then I got the train back to Bangor, then a taxi from Bangor to my home. It was quite late when I got into the flat.
I’d love to be going on holiday, but I’d have to renew my passport first! My nephew started high school this week – I can’t believe how quickly time flies.
I had some bad news last week and it always takes me a while to process these sorts of things. I take time to adjust when something goes wrong so I’m still working through things.
AdFest this year was brilliant again! I really enjoyed myself though getting home was a bit of a faff. I had to walk into Abergele from the hotel as all the taxis were busy on school runs, then a bus to Llandudno and another bus to Bangor then a bus to Anglesey – I’m definitely an independent traveller now!
