I’ve been baking oat biscuits and cookies at Menter Fachwen today – I’m still allowed treats now and then, even though I’m still on my diet. I left some of them there, but brought some home.
It’s easy to go to the activities because I get picked up from outside my house.
I had a great Easter – I had an Easter egg, stayed at home and did lots of exercises (and ate my egg!)
University teaching is going well – I’ve been lecturing for the nursing students and I have another session coming up in May with the School of Health Science.
I am also lecturing to the teaching students – I tell them about my school experiences. I went to mainstream primary school in London and then to a special school for secondary education. I explain what it was like for me and what I was able to achieve. School was a positive experience for me.
I recently went back to my old school – they asked me to go back because I was a Special Olympics Ambassador. They did a presentation for me and called me a legend.
I will definitely be voting in the Senedd elections next month. I have been voting for a long time now. It’s really important to have your say. I have strong feelings about things, especially about the NHS and Europe.
