Through our Eyes started in 2020 as a Lottery funded photography project. The funding ended in 2022
Through our Eyes is a photography exhibition and an online library of images.
The images show people with learning disabilities as they want to be seen. Living ordinary lives.
People with learning disabilities work, they have hobbies, relationships and families.
Through our Eyes is about smashing negative stereotypes about learning disability.
The original project finished in 2022. Now we are taking it on tour.
- The first exhibition was in the Senedd.
- In August 2024 we had a stand at the National Eisteddfod in Pontypridd. We showed some images and asked people where they would like to see the exhibition tour.
- The full exhibition is inĀ Pontio, Bangor from 19th November until 13th January 2025.
- We held a tour celebration event at Pontio on 2nd December
