Pathways to work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working
Do you get any benefits or support?
The UK Government have planned some big changes.
If the changes happen, they may affect you.
When could the changes happen?
We don’t know yet – but they won’t happen straight away.
For now, the Government are asking people what they think about the plans.
They have shared a consultation called ‘Pathways to work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working’.
Everyone can have their say by replying to the consultation.
What have you told us?
News about the plans is confusing and you feel worried.
The consultation is hard to understand. Even the Easy read is hard.
You want to understand it better so you can have your say.
So, what are we doing?
We are running 3 Zoom session in May, to help you understand the consultation and to share what you think about the questions.
The sessions are for members to speak up and be heard.
We want to support groups and members as much as we can to take part in this important work. We encourage self-advocacy support staff to join and observe sessions.
Each session will be different
You can join 1, 2 or all 3 sessions on:
Wednesday 7th May 10.30am-12.30pm
Thursday 15th May 2pm-4pm
Tuesday 20th May 2pm-4pm
Email: allwalespeople1st.co.uk or send us a message through Facebook Messenger if you’d like the Zoom code
