All Wales People First are delighted to welcome Gerraint Jones-Griffiths to its workforce.
Gerraint was appointed as the Lead Ambassador for the Engage to Change project.
The role of the Lead Ambassador is to raise awareness of the Engage to Change project across Wales.
And to line manager the Ambassadors.
We selected four candidates for the interview.
They were: –
- Shane Halton
- Carrie Francis
- Lloyd Parsons
- Gerraint Jones-Griffiths
The interviews took place on Tuesday the 23rd and Wednesday 24th of January.
On Day one we prepared the candidates for their interview. National Director, Joe Powell spoke to candidates about All Wales People First and its role on the project.
Then Tracey Drew facilitated two sessions. The first one was about using art to create a presentation which told the interview panel something about them.
In the second session Tracey gave candidates their interview questions and candidates were allowed to work on them ready for day two.
Tracey Drew and Joe Powell, along with Kurtis Marshall (member of the Engage to Change Evaluation Forum) and Stacey Baker, project manager of Elite Supported Employment Agency were on hand to give guidance to the candidates.
On day two we held the formal interviews.
On the interview panel was: –
Kurtis Marshall, Vale People First.
Stacey Baker, Elite Supported Employment Agency.
Joe Powell, All Wales People First.
The candidates started their interviews with a five-minute presentation about themselves.
They were then asked questions by the panel.
We scored the candidates.
The interview panel were really impressed by all of the candidates.
We felt they all could have done the job well.
But there was only position on offer.
Gerraint Jones Griffiths will start his position soon.
We are looking forward to working with him.
We would like to congratulate Gerraint and all of the candidates for giving very strong interviews.
I would like to give special thanks to Kurtis Marshall for joining me on the interview panel and Stacey Baker, for agreeing to join the panel at such short notice.
It was one of the most positive experiences in my time with All Wales People First.
